Welcome to ClearStorage ("the App"), a mobile application developed by Everyday App ("we," "us," or "our"). ClearStorage helps users reclaim device storage by detecting unwanted photos, videos, large files, and duplicate contacts — all processed entirely on your device. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle information.

Information We Collect

Photos & Videos

ClearStorage accesses your photo library to find duplicate photos, similar shots, blurry images, screenshots, and Live Photos, and to compress videos.

• All analysis is performed entirely on your device.
• We do not upload, transmit, or store your photos or videos on any external servers.

Contacts

The Contact Merge feature reads your device contacts to detect duplicate or similar entries.

• Contact data is processed locally and never transmitted to our servers.

File System & Storage

The Large File Scanner reads file metadata (name, size, type) to surface items consuming your storage. File content is never read, copied, or transmitted externally.

Secret Folder

Files you store in the Secret Folder are kept locally and protected by your device's built-in security. Their contents are never accessible to us.

App Preferences

Your settings (such as theme and alert preferences) are stored locally on your device and never transmitted externally.

Information We Do NOT Collect

ClearStorage does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Personal identification information (name, email, address)
• Location data
• Device identifiers
• Analytics or usage data
• Any data to external servers or third parties

How We Use Your Information

All data processing occurs locally on your device for the following purposes:

• Detecting duplicate, similar, blurry, and screenshot photos
• Compressing large video files
• Scanning for large files consuming storage space
• Merging duplicate contacts
• Providing a locally encrypted Secret Folder
• Displaying real-time storage usage
• Saving your app preferences

Data Storage & Security

• All app data is stored locally on your device.
• Data is protected by your device's built-in security features.
• We do not have access to any of your data.
• Uninstalling the app will delete all locally stored data.

In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

The App offers optional premium subscriptions through Apple's In-App Purchase system. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID credentials.

Third-Party Services

ClearStorage does not use any third-party analytics tools or tracking services. The app may display advertisements through Google AdMob for free users. AdMob may collect certain device information as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Premium subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience.

Children's Privacy

ClearStorage does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The app is a general utility tool that does not require any personal information to function.

Your Rights & Choices

Managing Your Data

• You can delete scanned results or clear all data within the app at any time.
• Files in the Secret Folder can be removed from within the app at any time.
• Uninstalling the app removes all associated data from your device.

Permissions

• Photo Library Access: Required for photo and video cleanup features. You can revoke this in your device Settings at any time.
• Contacts Access: Required for the Contact Merge feature. You can revoke this in your device Settings at any time.
• Tracking Permission (ATT): Requested before any advertising identifier is used by AdMob. Declining has no impact on the app's core functionality.
• Notifications: Optional. Used to send storage alert reminders. You can disable this in your device Settings at any time.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
